Hakim Weatherspoon was co-PC chair for the 2013 ACM Symposium on Cloud Computing.  The event ran in San Jose Oct 3-5 and was very successful; papers and posters were outstanding, and attendance was up 35% from the previous SOCC.  Johannes Gehrke has agreed to be co-PC chair for SOCC 2014, continuing a "Cornell tradition" of leadership at this conference.
