Both of Cornell's nominees for the 2007 CRA undergraduate award, the annual continent-wide competition recognizing "demonstrated excellence of computing research ability", were honored this year.
Kelly Conway won Honorable Mention for the 2007 CRA Outstanding Female Undergraduate Award. She has conducted research with Thorsten Joachims and Michael Spivey (psychology).
Evan Herbst won Honorable Mention for the 2007 CRA Outstanding Male Undergraduate Award. He has conducted research with Dan Huttenlocher and Thorsten Joachims at Cornell and several others outside of Cornell.
