The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) held its annual meeting in Washington D.C., February 11-15. The conference features the top eminent researchers around the world to partake in networking and global science engagement to "focus on how the scientific enterprise can meet global challenges in need of innovation and international collaboration." There was a large Cornell representation at the conference, including computer science professors Bart Selman who spoke about the shift in artificial intelligence research and Carla Gomes who spoke about the importance of citizen science.
