Each year the AAAI (American Association of Artificial Intelligence) recognizes a few individuals (typically 4-5) who have made a significant, sustained contribution to Artificial Intelligence by electing them as Fellows of the AAAI. The Computer Science Department is happy to announce that Bart Selman was elected this year. The citation reads: "For significant contributions to the field of knowledge representation and reasoning, and the development of widely used randomized methods in reasoning, search, and planning."
