The Santa Barbara Independent covered an invited talk that Gün Sirer gave at UCSB's SAGE Center for the Study of the Mind. Speaking on "Bitcoin and the Promise, the Limits, and the Future of Electronic Money", one quip Sirer made was, "It’s interesting to watch the libertarian mindset behind Bitcoin clash with reality".
