Tianze Shi has received an inaugural Bloomberg Data Science Fellowship for 2018-2019. The competition was open to "exceptional Ph.D. students working in broadly-construed data science, including natural language processing, machine learning, and artificial intelligence", and the fellowship provides tuition, stipend, conference travel and a summer internship at Bloomberg.
