Vasilis Syrgkanis (CUCS PhD 2014) and Eva Tardos, together with coauthor Denis Nekipelov, have received the Best Paper Award at EC 2015, the ACM Conference on Economics and Computation, for their paper "Econometrics for Learning Algorithms". Since 1999, the ACM Special Interest Group on Electronic Commerce

(SIGecom) has sponsored the leading scientific conference on advances in theory, systems, and applications at the interface of economics and computation, including applications to electronic commerce.

This marks the second year in a row that Cornellians have received the best paper award at EC, and our third win since 2006 (the earliest year for which official records are available.)
