The
CUSD project is entirely student-run, with faculty involved
as advisors, not project leaders. We strongly believe
that the learning value and the preservation of our
vision are maximized if the project is left in the hands
of students.
Our
project leaders, in addition to working on sub-teams
in their respective area of expertise, manage the team
and meet regularly with each of the sub-teams to ensure
that work is running smoothly and according to plan.
Our faculty advisors watch over the project, attend
meetings, and consult with us on our designs to ensure
that we are on the right track.
In
addition, because students may opt to participate in
CUSD for academic credit, project leaders and faculty
advisors design a course curriculum to meet both the
academic requirements of Cornell University and the
needs of the CUSD project.
