The responsibility of the Controls sub-team is to design a system of controls that incorporates the inputs (sensors, touch screen controller, home computer) and outputs (Power generation, Lighting, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning).

From a touch screen controller or even a home computer, the user would be able to manipulate the environmental controls to his or her personal specifications.  Furthermore, the user could monitor each system of the house from one location.
The key to integrating all of these systems is a well-designed, logical program.

A successful system of controls would require minimal utilization by the homeowner, responding automatically to sensors and thermostats.
