Business

Long before there was thought of a design for this project, the Business team was busy developing a cohesive brand image that the entire CUSD team could rally around.  The business team has further led the way by establishing the notion of commercializing sustainability through the research of the project.  Furthermore, by creating a dynamic cost model, the entire CUSD team is able to integrate financial viability into the architectural design and engineering invention process.

Acting as the liaison between the public and the entire CUSD team, the business team has implemented a coordinated marketing effort (website, brochures, and press releases to name a few) with the intention of educating and stimulating interest in the public and initiating a full-fledged fundraising campaign. A project of this magnitude cannot be tackled without sponsorship.  It is estimated that around $300,000 will be needed to fully design, build, and transport our completed house to and from the competition site in Washington, D.C.
