Step 9. If there is excess white space (that is, if your canvas started out bigger than your selection from your screenshot), you can resize the canvas. Move your mouse to the lower-right corner of the canvas. There is a faint blue dot over which your cursor will turn into a diagonal double-ended arrow. When over this point, click and drag to resize the canvas to snugly fit your screenshot.
