Taking and cropping a Screenshot Using Microsoft Paint
An important part of creating exhibits in Active Worlds from content generated on the internet usings sites such as The Wayback Machine and Many Eyes is taking screenshots. This tutorial shows how to do this using a program built into every copy of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Paint.
1. Take the Screenshot
2. Open Microsoft Paint
3. Paste the Screenshot into Paint.
4. Select the Area to Crop.
5. Cut your Selection onto the Clipboard.
6. Create a New Document.
7. You Do Not Need To Save the Old Document.
8. Paste the Contents of the Clipboard Into the New Document.
9. Reduce the Size of the Canvas If Necessary.
10. Select Save from the File Menu.
11. Save Your Image as a JPG.
