Course Grade

[Note: See Policies and FAQ sections for important information on homeworks, projects and grades!]

Your class grade will be based on the following three components:

For students registered *only* in CS4410

Homeworks (30%): There will be roughly one homework assignment per week (12 in total), to be completed in pairs of students. We will take the best 9 out of 12 homework marks to assign 30% of your grade for CS4410. Any late submission (even by 1 minute) will get 0 credit for that homework. Note that if you miss 3 homeworks during the semester (due to illness, travel, interviews, etc.), and score perfectly on the remaining 9, you still get a perfect grade. You do not need to provide any reason for not submitting a homework.

Projects (40%): There will be 5 projects, to be completed individually. Each student has 3 late submission days that can be used throughout the course without any penalty. See FAQ section on more details on how we are going to count these late days. Any late submission (even by 1 minute) beyond the 3 late days will get 0 credit.

Final exam (30%): There will be one final exam, and no make up exams.

For students registered in *both* CS4410 and CS4411
