Project Suggestion: Ithaca Free Clinic

Ithaca Free Clinic Client Daisy Fan, Senior Lecturer, Computer Science Project Ithaca Free Clinic (IFC) provides medical care for the uninsured and underinsured in Ithaca and the surrounding areas. IFC needs a scheduling software for patient appointments that is customized to fit its operations, which includes conventional as well as holistic healthcare practices. The multitude of services, irregular "rotation" of services by volunteer physicians and practitioners, and frequent change of volunteer clerks who use the scheduling software impose design challenges.A prototype of the software exists, and IFC is interested in expanded functionality including search capability on patient appointment history and use over several networked computers. New ideas from the software designers are very much welcomed. |
