Replacements have been requested for the following czarships. If you are interested in taking up one of these positions, or would like to have a position listed as available, please contact either the current czar listed for that position or the Czar Czar. Please remember that it is the current czar's responsibility to find a replacement when they wish to give up a czarship, though the Czar Czar can offer suggestions of people who might be available to fill the position.

The Videotaping Czar is responsible for videotaping the job talks occurring during the department colloquium from 4:15 to 5:15 on Tuesday and Thursday of the Spring semester.

Gripe Czar: The Gripe Czar is a contact for all the Ph.D. students so they can send complaints/suggestions/comments on technical/machine/software topics and know the recipient will understand and try to do something about it, and also so they can remain anonymous. They should be an active representative of the Ph.D. student body to the professors/adm, try to improve the student's facilities, and never be afraid to rock the boat!
Library Czar: The Library Czar organizes and manages the computer science department library (located on the 5th floor of Upson). The current projects of the Library Czar are to institute a system for tracking books, to organize the layout of the library, to produce a catalog and to improve the holdings of the library.
Relocation Czar: The Relocation Czar helps incoming first-year students find transportation from the airport or bus station to their new residence or to a local hotel if they have not been able to find an apartment yet.
T-Shirt Czar: The T-Shirt Czar organizes creating a design for the department t-shirt (either by themself or via a contest) and getting the t-shirts made up and distributed to those who wish to purchase them.
/usr/public/ Czar: The /usr/public czar is in charge of maintaining the /usr/public directory, particularly removing files when necessary.
