Predator The Ensemble Project
PREDATOR is an object-relational DBMS that studies efficient database support for complex data types. It is based on Enhanced Abstract Data Types (E-ADTs), and the current focus of work is on the development of several multi-media data types. Ensemble provides a framework for the development of distributed applications based on group communications, a style of computing that can arise in fault-tolerant systems, managed distributed systems, applications that exploit data replication or coherent caching, and groupware.

Project Zeno Internetworking
The goal of project Zeno is to make multimedia data first class data types in our computing environment. To this end, we are building technologies supporting the storage, communication, and processing of multimedia data. Next-generation TCP, Centralized multicast, Active networks, Server-based simulation
Cluster Computing Safe Language Kernel
The interplay of computer architecture, operating systems, programming languages and compilers in the context of high-performance systems. The SLK project is developing an operating system infrastructure for extensible systems, such as customizable internet servers and application specific gateways. The J-Kernel system provides multiple protection domains within a Java VM. The J-Server is an extensible Java web server built on top of the J-Kernel. Other related SLK-related projects are the JRes system for resource management in Java and J-RPC, a fast zero-copy RPC system for Java.
