CS4414: Exams

Grading in CS4414 is 50% based on exams and 50% based on programming assignments.

We will have two evening exams, with dates and times to be announced by Cornell.   We always request rooms for people with SDS accommodations, but Cornell is not always able to provide suitable ones, so there is a different approach that we recommend: if you have a special need, SDS itself manages some rooms and can proctor your exam there, in a way that will work for you.  If you have a question about something on an exam, they would then reach out to Ken or to a TA, so there is no disadvantage to you in doing this.

CS4414 exams are not time-limited in the sense that SDS accommodation letters talk about.  We allow every student to take as long as they need, until we lose the room that Cornell scheduled for us.   And the exams are designed to take no more than half that room reservation period.  So, even with an SDS "extra time" accommodation, do be aware that in this course, that particular request has no real meaning.  In effect, everyone receives as much extra time as they wish.
