As of April 1998, one Intel grant machine has very recently been installed in the Biometrics lab with Windows NT and Matlab software.  A second machine is expected soon. The primary researcher (Carlos Castillo-Chavez ) will be returning in the middle of May, at which point extensive research and computation will begin on the systems.  In particular, the systems will be used this summer by the Mathematical Theoretical Biology Institute (MTBI).
