The best I can say at the moment is that our project is proceeding more slowly than we would like. We have installed the four quad processor machines at the four intended locations; one in Sibley Hall (Architecture), one in Tjaden Hall (Art), one in Lincoln Hall (Music), and one the the Center for Performing Arts (Theater Arts/Video). We are establishing network communications, but not the high speed connections that we would like.The University project to create high speed ATM lines seems delayed, and we must wait for this to happen before we can get real time exchange of audio and video files, which is central to our project. At the same time we are awaiting the arrival of another 12 Intel provided machines that will enable us to set up the digital processing and rendering capabilities to create the video, animation and music pieces that will be used on the project.
