Getting to the Conference in Ithaca
(print-friendly version)
The conference is being held on campus at Cornell University.
- The main
conference is on the 7th floor of Clark Hall.
- The
opening reception is in the Statler Hotel.
- Go to a map showing
where Clark and Statler are on campus.
- Go to Cornell campus maps.
The easiest way to get to campus is usually by bus,
because parking can be difficult.
From the Holiday Inn:
- Take a left out of the front of the hotel and head to
the next intersection, of Cayuga and Green St.
- Take a right on Green St. and walk 1/2 block past the
public library. You will come to the main bus stop in Ithaca.
- From here, you can take the 21, 30, 31, 40, 41, 43, 51,
67... well, most buses to Cornell (just ask the driver!). Ride is
about 10 minutes.
- Get out at the Statler Hall stop (on the return trip,
simply board on the other side of the street).
- Enter the Statler hotel directly, or turn left and walk
up East Ave. 1 1/2 blocks to Clark Hall.
Bus schedules and a trip planner are available from TCAT.
If you do drive, on Friday you will need to stop at an
information booth when you enter campus to buy a parking permit ($8/day);
parking on the weekend and after 4:30pm is free.
- Check signs carefully to determine whether your chosen
parking area is legal for you to park at (also on the weekend).
- A map of
parking areas on campus.
- More information on on-campus parking can be found here.
