3/9 R CIS/EAS 121 Lectures/sections for CIS/EAS 121 have ended, but CIS/EAS121 students may choose to attend next week's lab for extra help on the MATLAB portion of the course. There will be a lab exercise on the Java material that will be introduced on Tuesday, but CIS/EAS121 students may choose to use that time to ask questions about other course material.
3/9 R Review questions Review questions for Prelim 2 have been posted. Please attempt these questions before going to the review session! You need to practise developing a solution on your own--not practise reading (or listening to) the solution! Review the material early, then attempt the questions so that you learn about any difficulties you are having. Then use the review session to learn to overcome those difficulties. Be active (and pro-active) in your learning!

3/3 F Project 3 Project 3 is now online.
2/28T Clicker setting The clickers are pre-set to the correct channel for the instructor's receiver, so you do not need to change the setting by using the go (or login) key. If you press the go key and then press a number, you will change the clicker's channel and the clicker will not work with the instructor's receiver.
How to fix:
(0)   Wait for a clicker question slide in class.
(1)   Press the go button--the light flashes.
(2)   Enter the number 41 (press 4 and then 1)--the light shines green.
Try again if that doesn't work. If it still doesn't work after a second try, then please return the clicker to the library and sign out another one. Please register your new clicker.
2/28 Prof. Fan's office hr Professor Fan will cancel her office hour on Wednesday, March 1.

P2 Posted Project 2 has been posted on the Projects page and is due on 2/16 at 6pm.
1/31 T P1 rectangle On some browsers the file becomes "double spaced." The extra blank lines are fine in all cases EXCEPT for the 4th-last statement: there CANNOT be a blank line between the ellipsis ( ... ) and the rest of the statement (px,py,qx,qy). The ellipsis is the line-continuation symbol in MATLAB--use it when you need to continue a statement on the next line. So remove the extra blank line from your downloaded file or download the new one, posted at 4:40pm.
