I am a researcher in the Cornell DB Systems group. My main focus is on the Cougar project where we explore database systems for device networks. In the Jaguar project we explore new database architectures for portable query processing. Cougar and Jaguar are based on the Cornell Predator system, a public domain object relational database system developed  by Praveen Seshadri. We will release a new version of Predator (for NT, Solaris and Linux) shortly.

I did my PhD in the framework of the GIE Dyade (Bull-Inria). During my PhD, I worked on Unavailable Data Sources in Mediator Systems together with Anthony Tomasic. I participated in the Mediation action led by Mauricio Lopez. My supervisors were M.Riveill at Universite de Savoie, and A.Flory at INSA Lyon. The technology we developed in Mediation is now being exploited by Kelkoo.com

I started my phD at European Computer Industry Research Center. My supervisers were A.Flory at INSA Lyon, and S.Bressan at ECRC. I developed there, during my postgraduate, a HTTP library (client and server) for the ECLiPSe platform. I also worked at ECRC on some demonstrators (Einrichten demonstrated at the G7 summit on the Information Society, Brussels 1995 - World Travel Editor demonstrated at EDBT, Avignon 1996) . I was involved in the IDEA Project.
