I finished my PhD at Department of Computer Science of Cornell University in May, 1998. Before I came to Cornell, I did my undergraduate and Master's study at Department of Applied Mathematics, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. My research work was on computer vision and multimedia systems. My advisors are Professor Ramin Zabih and Professor Dan Huttenlocher. I worked on content-based image retrieval ( CVPR '97 , color images in the paper are available from here) , object querying ( ICCV '98), learning schemes for managing image libraries( MM '97 ) and image classification (MM'98) etc. Here is my thesis Color-Spatial Image Indexing and Applications (pdf file).
