Raunak Kumar

I am a second-year PhD student in the Computer Science department at Cornell University, where I am excited to be advised by Austin R. Benson. I am broadly interested in machine learning and theoretical computer science. I am fascinated by machine learning on graphs and hypergraphs, optimization, causal inference, online learning, and the intersection of learning theory and algorithmic game theory. I am also interested in applications of machine learning in sustainability and healthcare.

I received my undergraduate degree in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia in May 2018, where I had the pleasure of working with Mark Schmidt on optimization for machine learning.

You can reach me via email (firstname AT cs DOT cornell DOT edu). You can also find me on LinkedIn and on Github.

Outside of work, I love swimming, and playing soccer, tennis and badminton.
