house-committees dataset
This is a hypergraph, where nodes are members of the US House of Representatives and hyperedges correspond to commitee memberships. The dataset is derived from Congressional data compiled by Charles Stewart and Jonathan Woon. Each node is labeled with political party affiliation. Some summary statistics of the dataset are:
  • number of nodes: 1,290
  • number of hyperedges: 341
  • mean / median hyperedge size: 34.8 / 40.0
  • rank of hypergraph (maximum hyperedge size): 82
  • number of node classes: 2
