Served with Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood.

Source: this recipe goes back in my family at least to my grandmother, maybe farther (makes 2)

2 - 15 oz cans pumpkin
3 - 4 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1 round tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ginger
1-1/2 cups brown sugar
3 - 4 tbs molasses
1/2 cup sugar
1 can evaporated milk (larger size can)
4 oz water

Heat oven to 450 degrees. Mix all ingredients together and pour into 2 pie plates with bottom crust. Filling is fairly liquid. Bake pies for 10 minutes at 450 degrees. Then reduce temperature to 350 degrees. Bake additional 40 minutes or until done. Filling should be gelled and puffed up, but will sink after cooling. This is normal.
