Sigmaringen

Unfortunately, Sigmaringen does not have a webpage yet. The only thing I could find was a page maintained by someone from the local college. Therefore, I digitized some pictures on my own.

There is a castle in Sigmaringen from 1120 if I remember correctly. These images show the castle from different sides.


There are still Princes and Princesses living in some parts of the castle but there are guided tours of most of the interior.


Sigmaringen lies at the river Danube, but it is still a small river at that point. The valley of the Danube is quite romantic and there are many castles and ruins along the valley.
These are some pictures of the danube as seen from some of the castles


and here are some of my favorite castles.

My absolutely favorite castle is not on the Danube, however, but the sister castle of the castle of Sigmaringen, the castle of Hechingen. It just looks great at sunset.
