CS Professor Daisy Fan is this year's recipient of the Cornell Society of Engineers Achievement Award.
This award was established to recognize non-tenure track faculty who enhance undergraduate education, outside of the classroom.
Daisy has been key to the success of the CURIE Academy which is a College of Engineering summer program that introduces high school girls to careers in engineering and science.
She is also the Cornell faculty advisor of the Ithaca High School FIRST** Robotics Club. This group came in first place last month
in a regional competition in Canada against over 70 teams.
In addition, Daisy is a faculty fellow for one of the freshman residence halls.
