Semantics of my Name
Rosen not being an Indian name, this question was often asked ? People gave
the name their own interpretations. Here are some of them
- Some of my chinese friends (makes me wonder?) claim that it means
- In hindi, my native tongue
- Sharm mean shyness
- Sharmila means shy (And there is an actress called Sharmila Tagore) So I was nicknamed Sharmila
- Frozen Sharmila or Stupid Horse .....
- Some people claim that it is from one of the ealry Jewish leaders...

I was once told this _real_ story.......
somebody once went upto Ken Thompson and asked him why
a piece of code didn't compile. Ken looked at the error
code generated, went to the source code for the C compiler
and did a grep with the error code generated - looked
at why it was generated and solved the problem. This was
the most unique way of debugging a program.......
It emphasizes the fact that we all view the world differently
so dont be afraid to go where others have failed !
