Review:
This was an interesting book. I read it for a class in college, so my recollection is a little vague, but it was basically a hunt and chase book about a god-like, immortal man who for a reason I don't recall is chasing an immortal woman who is able to take on the shape of anything that she ingests. When the book starts, she is living in, I think, Africa going from village to village being a healer (since she can also understand the inner workings of anything she ingests and hence be able to fix it). The stuggle between the two continues for many generations, with a relationship building up between these two characters in the course of the book. I wouldn't say that it was a great book, but the plot was interesting and managed to end about when I started to get bored with it.
