Letters from an American
Farmer

Review:
This is a collection of letters writen by an American farmer
around the time of the revolution. The letters discuss both his
life and also his politics or philosophy and his thoughts about
America. It is supposedly one of the classic examples and
original works which defines "the American Dream". I
just couldn't get involved in the letters. I didn't learn enough
about the guy to care about his life and his farm. Perhaps I was
too young, but his philosophy didn't seem particularly
interesting to me either. This is probably an interesting set of
historical documents, but don't go looking for a fun read out of
this book.
