General Lab Grading Policies
It is the goal of the course staff to return work to you as quickly as
possible without sacrificing quality of grading. However, numerous problems
requiring case-by-case decisions have
arisen that have made this goal difficult to achieve. To improve course
administration and prevent future problems, we clarify our policies below.
  - Policies:

      - Class I errors:

          - Labs are due by the beginning of class. No late labs will be accepted.
        No exceptions will be permitted.
- The correct files must be submitted. These
are always specified at the end of the lab handout.

- Class II errors:

          - Labs must be submitted via FTP to your correct FTP
        directory, not on floppy.
- Your program must compile, regardless of whether the output is
        correct.

- Class III errors:

          - Files must be submitted in the correct folders.
- Classes must be named as we specify. Classes should have the same name
as the file in which they reside. Capitalization is important!

- Any statements in poor taste made in the output, comments, or
identifiers of a program are in serious violation of good style. Humor
        is appreciated; threats are not.
- Other policies may be added as needed.

- Penalties:

      - Violations of the above policies will result in a percentage of a
        program or lab being deducted.
- The percent deduction will increase as the class progresses:

      | Labs | Class I | Class II | Class III |

      | 6, 7 | -100% | -75% | -50% |

      | 8, 9, 10 | -100% | -100% | -75% |
