Background

The client is a founder of a technology company named OmniNova. The client was inspired by Airbnb, but would like to minimize the management effort for the rental property owners while improving the real-time visibility of the properties' availabilities for the homestay seekers. The distinction between OmniNova's ongoing project idea and Airbnb will not be disclosed as it is confidential information for the client at this point.

Project Summary

The project focuses on implementing a website to improve the functionality of OmniNova's existing products. The website composes the frontend UI for both the property owners and guests, as well as a backend database to store the real-time availabilities of the properties.

The property owners would be able to input the detailed information of their properties including physical address, pricing, photos, and other things including conditions of the rooms.

On the other hand, the guest would be able to use the website to search nearby available properties 24/7. Once the payment is made, the guest will be provided as easier way to use the property (this part is out of scope of this project and the detail is confidential and not disclosed by OmniNova)

Communication

The client is not resident in Ithaca, so we will communicate with the client through regular emailing, and weekly phone conference., etc.
