Project Suggestion:
Tracking system for Human Relations
|
Client Brian Martinson, Director of Human Resources, Faculty of Computer and Information Science HR Tracking Objective The client is the Director of Human Resources for the Faculty of Computer and Information Science. The aim is to develop a tracking and work flow system to handle the stages of proposing, reviewing, approving, and documenting the process of recruiting and offering a person a job. Academic appointments and staff positions require specific information to determine if a person meets the requirements of the type of position being offered and how the sponsor requesting the position will pay for it. Additionally, the administrative staff need biographical information on the new employee to process the appointment as required by various offices at Cornell including HR Records and Payroll. The system would allow controlled access to the various information and reports in the system, so that individuals without permission to see confidential information would still be allowed to use the system to enter data and review non-confidential information. The system should be able to automatically route proposals for review, and track decisions to approve, reject, or request more information. The system would provide online forms that request required information, optional information, and provide flexible choices for various categories of information. |
