CS312 Spring 2005 Announcement Archive
- Prof. Rugina will hold office hours Monday May 16 between 1:30 and 3pm
- Final exam next week: Tuesday
May 17 at 9:00am in Ives 105.
- Sample final exams are now posted with the other sample exams.
- We will have the CS312 multi-ball tournament
this Wednesday May 11, starting at 7pm,
in Upson B17. Please submit your robot in CMS to enter the competition.
- [May 1] The game server is up! Click this link
and follow the instructions on the web page that pops up. Make sure you
download the latest ps6.zip
and use the new gui provided there. We had to change the gui to make it
work with the server.
- [Apr 20] A minor bug in
/gui/Board.java
has been fixed.
Please download ps6.zip again. The files in /gui
are
the only ones that have been modified; the other directories are
unchanged.
- [Apr 20] Typo in Section 5: the command for credits is "
credits
",
not "credit
".
- Prelim 2 is coming next week:
Tuesday April 19, in Phillips 101, at 7:30pm.
- Problem Set 6 has been posted. It is due
Friday, May 6. Note that this assignment has a checkpoint submission
on April 27.
- [Apr 1] Small changes in
spawntree
: empty()
has been replaced with
singleton(pid)
; and nodes are not removed from the tree when processes
terminate. Please read the updated PS5, and
download ps5.zip again.
- Lucja will be out of town all of next week. Her office hours on
April 1st and April 8th are canceled. She cannot guarantee fast email
response time, so please contact other staff members with urgent 312
queries.
- You are expected to find PS5 partners and sign up on CMS by April 1.
After that date, the course staff will automatically pair you up.
- Problem Set 5 has been posted. It is due
Thursday, April 14.
- The deadline for PS4 has been extended to Monday, March 28.
- Problem Set 4: [Wed 3/9] minor issues have been fixed in
rsa.sml

- Hardcopies of solutions for PS2 will be handed out in class next

- A small change has been made to PS3, part 3 (the written part).
Please check the assignment page for the corrected version.
- Here is a link to the top-level Basis Library environment. Some people asked what library functions need to be
written with qualified names, and which don't. This gives the answer.
- Problem Set 3 is out and due Thursday,
March 3.

- Problem Set 2 is out and due Thursday, Feb
17.
- Consulting hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 7-9pm in Upson
360. Office hours are Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoon. Check
