Evaluate Your TA and Win a Prize Random prizes will be awarded for completing the on-line TA Evaluation survey. Evaluate all of your Engineering TAs and maximize your chances of winning. The survey will be active from Monday, September 29 through Sunday, October 12. Go to:

 http://www.engineering.cornell.edu/taeval/survey.cfm

To make the process easier, make sure you have the following information at hand: TA name, course department, and course name. Once you have completed the survey, watch to see if you receive a special code upon submission that identifies you as a prizewinner. Your anonymous evaluation and feedback goes to your TA and is used by the Engineering TA Development Program to improve the quality of teaching in the College. Good luck, and thanks for helping your TAs.

Project Updates The developers caught some minor mistakes in the document, which I corrected. I also included a zip file of the sam-code for the major examples.
Project Due Dates Someone asked today in class for planning. I worked out an entire CS211/CS212 assignment/project schedule such that all work and exams (which are fixed by the university) are staggereed. I neglected to post the CS212 dates, so they're up now. Note that P2, P3, and P4 links won't work yet.

Job Opportunity! There are research/work opportunties for CS undergraduates interested in computational genomics. Dr. Lukas Mueller (former of Stanford University) has recently joined Cornell to head up plant genome informatics activities. He would like to recruit additional CS students (either as hourly employees or for research projects for credit). Contact Steven Tanksley for more information.

Thu 10/23 P3 posted -- BC.java is almost ready, and SaM 2.2 will be up soon (do not use the old version!) -- also there's a slight change in the point distribution to balance Part 3 -- we shifted 5 points to Part 4 because some of the original work in Part 3 (the GUI) will shift to Part 4 because CS211 didn't get to GUIs yet.
Fri 10/10 Reminder - TA Evaluation The TA evaluation site will be taken down Sun. over Fall break. Take a minute to Evaluate your TA and you might win a prize. See the 9/29 announcement for details.
