3/29 Tr Assignment 2 regraded and final grades The final grades are announced in CMS now.
For the students who resubmitted assignment 2, please also check your score and the grader's comments.
For the students who got UX, you have the FINAL chance resubmit assignment 2 before April 6th (Fri). Note this resubmission WILL get 10% penalty (-2.5). Remember to send regrade request! Otherwise we won't know you upload new files.
Please use the following office and consulting hours, especially if you need to achieve perfect score in assignment 2 to pass the course.

3/5 M Office hr Although lectures have ended, this week there are these office hrs available: Tuesday 2-4pm and Friday 3:35-4:25pm, both in Upson 5148. Use these hours to review your test(s) or for help on Assignment 2. Consulting in ACCEL Green Room (Carpenter Hall) is on-going: weekly Sunday to Thursday 5-10pm.

3/2 F Assignment 2 grading Assignment 2 deadline is tonight at 11:59pm. We expect grading feedback to be available in a week. At that time we will post another announcement and re-open Assignment 2 in CMS to accept resubmissions.

3/2 F Test 2, 2nd run The second run of Test 2 will be held on Sunday at 1pm in Upson B7 computer lab.

2/29 W Assignment 1a, 1b resubmission Assignment 1a,b is now open for further regrade request until March 10. Please note that 10% penalty will be applied to these requests.

2/28 T Class location Friday There is no structured lab exercise this Friday, but course staff will be in Upson B7 computer lab during class time to help you with Assignment 2. You may also review your Test 2 during that time.

2/28 T Test 2 location Test 2 will take place in the Upson B7 computer lab. All students in the course should go to Upson B7, regardless of the usual location of your Friday lab session.

2/28 T Assignment 2 Problem 1 In Assignment 2 Problem 1 "Finding Similar Genomic Sequences", you can assume the first line of genome and protein data files to be a comment (a note on the data). An example protein data is given in Section 1.2.

2/22 W Friday lab session We will have lab this Friday (UP B17 if you bring your computer with Matlab, otherwise UP B7 lab) and we will help you will Assignment 2 Problem 2. Read Assignment 2 Problem 2 before lab in order to get the most out of the lab session.

2/21 T Assignment 2 update In the mine sweeper question, the second last bullet of the instructions should read "... display in the title area how many COVERED cells are left on the board ..." not how many uncovered cells. The posted assignment has been revised.
