SUMMARY:Brown bag: Thomas Ristenpart
DESCRIPTION:Title: Adventures in Computer Security\nSpeaker: Thomas
Ristenpart\nAbstract: I work in computer security. In this brown bag
lunch I'll introduce myself and my background. I'll then quickly outline
the various research topics that I've been working on over the past
decade including cryptographic theory\, applied cryptography\, cloud
computing security\, privacy\, embedded systems security (including
	 playing with quadcopter drones)\, ML security\, passwords\, etc. I'll
leave plenty of time for Q&A\, where we can go deeper on select research
	 topics\, and/or about career stuff: what it's like being a junior(ish)
	 professor\, being tenacious as a grad student\, imposter syndrome\,
networking in your community\, getting prepared for the job market\, etc.
