Code Red Robotics is a robotics team located in Ithaca, New York. The team participates in the annual FIRST Robotics Competition, and is composed of students and teachers from Ithaca High School, students and professors from Cornell University, and a number of engineers from local companies. The major source of funding for the 2000-2001 season came from a Cornell University grant, made possible by the alumni members of the Bartel family. Other sponsors include Borg Warner Automotive, Tompkins County SME, AccuFab, and Finger Lakes Fabricating. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this team a success!
Team 639 attended the New York City regional competition during the 2001 season. The competition took place at Columbia University in New York City. Although we did not qualify for the elimination matches, we received a Judges Award for spreading the FIRST spirit. For the 2002 FIRST season, we will be attending the New York City Regional (Columbia University; March 20-23) and the Canadian Regional (Hershey Centre, Mississauga, ON, CA; April 3-6).
