Short Bio: Ashish Sabharwal is a Research Associate in Computer Science at Cornell University, and works at the Intelligent Information Systems Institute and the Institute for Computational Sustainability. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Washington, Seattle in 2005, and was a Postdoctoral Associate at Cornell till 2008. His research interests include combinatorial methods, probabilistic inference, multi-agent reasoning, connections to statistical physics, game theory, algorithm design, and complexity. He has (co-)authored over 30 publications and surveys, including two Best Paper Awards, one runner-up prize, and four best paper nominations.
