Blindfold is a novel system that enables users to upload to and search through a public key-value storage server without revealing the true keys or values to the server or third parties. The goal of Blindfold is to empower key-value storage operators to be oblivious as to how their services are used, allowing them to operate under the same model as public utility providers, such as water and electricity. Blindfold ensures that storage operators are blind to the content that they handle, with both the keys and values kept encrypted and opaque to the servers. This provides indemnity to public storage server operators by eliminating their ability to see and censor the content that they serve.
