Initial group project plans are due
on the 3rd week of class |
Each group is expected to complete
a Project Plan which lists the groups members, outlines the scope of the
project and provides a week-by-week plan for each group and team member.
During weekly critiques we will review and evaluate your progress relative
to your group plan. After the first month you will have an opportunity to
revise and improve your plan. Please note that the amount of work each team
member does is entirely up to the group (with in reason and instructor approval). |
Project Name - Give
a descriptive name to your project. This will be used primarily for instructor
convenience and possibility to inspire a final project title. |
Group Members
- List the names of all group members
Project Description
- Briefly describe the scope of the project,
including the areas covered and the technical (and possibly aesthetic) topics
that will be incorporated. Projects can include finished computer games
(with technical and artistic content), graphics engines, game networking
engines, physics and kinematic systems, music and sound systems or other
advanced topics (subject to instructor approval). |
Game
Idea or Algorithms & Methods - Projects
to develop a computer game should describe the idea behind your game. Ideally,
it should be an original game idea with a balance of technical and aesthetic
content. Technical projects should describe the primary algorithms, method
or theories that will be used in the development of the project. (Note:
If you are unfamiliar with algorithms related to computer games, make sure
to attend the optional lectures from 5:30 to 6:15pm) |
Weekly
Plan - Outline the weekly individual and
group goals for your project. After one month you will have an opportunity
to revise your plan. You will evaluate one another
and your group in critiques according to your plan. |
