• In Mai 2004, I graduated from the University of Passau. My studies were supported by a stipend from the Hanns-Seidel Foundation.
• As an undergrad, I spent one year as a visiting student at the University of Edinburgh.
• From June 2004 through March 2005, I was a project assistant at the Wissenschafterinnenkolleg Internettechnologien (WIT) at the Vienna University of Technology.
• Since April 2005, I am a PhD student at the Saarland University Database Group.
• From September - December 2006, I was visiting Cornell University.
• I have left Saarland University in September 2007.

Projects

1. GCX (new!) - an in-memory XQuery engine which uses gargabe collection to reduce main memory consumption (joint work with Michael Schmidt and Christoph Koch)
2. XSAGs- the XML Stream Attribute Grammars (joint work with Christoph Koch)
3. FluXQuery - an XQuery engine for XML streams which exploits schema information (joint work with Christoph Koch, Nicole Schweikardt, and Bernhard Stegmaier)
4. TransformX -"Yacc for XML" (joint work with Alfons Kemper)
