I am a 4th year PhD student in the Computer Science Department in Cornell University. My expected graduation date is August 2008 and I am currently looking for a research position in Midwest or on East Coast.

I am working with Rich Caruana and Mirek Riedewald.

My main area of research interest is data mining and machine learning algorithms. Currently I am working on modeling additive structure and detecting statistical interactions: we have recently developed new methods for this task, Additive and Gradient Groves of trees. My other and previous research topics include ensembles, feature importance evaluation, soft (fuzzy) decision trees, approximations of spectral clustering and plagiarism detection.
