DANNY ADAMS

System Design and Distributed Systems Researcher

ABOUT ME

I'm a third year PhD student in the Department of Computer Science at Cornell University. I am a member of the Supercloud group, founder for Graduate Underrepresented Minorities in Computing (GradURMC), and the Czar for the Tea & Treats program.

My research broadly applies to enabling mission critical technologies in Disconnected, Intermittent or Low-band networks. This work is made possible by leveraging replica management protocols normally found in cloud platforms to help at-risk populations (such as journalists or emergency response personnel). My current projects involve technical innovations in Digital Agriculture, emergency response, and auditing protocols of government agencies. Hakim Weatherspoon is my advisor.

Prior to coming to Cornell, I worked as a Satellite System Software Developer at Sandia National Laboratories. I graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelors in Computer Science and a minor in Applied Mathematics.
