About me:
I am a PhD candidate (2003 - ??) in the Department of Computer Science at Cornell University.  I am a member of the Database GroupDr. Johannes Gehrke is my advisor.  Prior, to Cornell I  was an undergraduate in the Computer Scienece Dept. at IIT Kharagpur

Research Interests: I am interested in a wide variety of topics related to Data Management. These include data steams, high dimensional indexing, data mining and complex event processing.

Projects: I am currently part of the following projects

Cayuga: Stateful Publish/Subscribe for Event Monitoring
In this project we are designing a system for complex event streams. We extend traditional approaches to Pub/Sub by allowing stateful subscriptions without compromising scalability as opposed to tradiitonal stream processing systems..

Storage/Retrieval Methodology for Function Approximation:
I am also working with the Turbulence and Combustion Research Group at Cornell on using high dimensional indexing techniques for local function approximation.

Teaching Experience: I was the instructor of Practicum in Operating Systems(CS415) in Fall'04. I have also TA'ed Applied Database Systems(CS330) in Spring'04 and Operating Systems(CS414) in Fall'04. I am TAing CS/CIS 330 again in Fall 2007.
