A woooden daysailer

Simplicity is our small boat. We sail her from the Ithaca Yacht Club on on Lake Cayuga NY and from Hiram Blake Camp on Penobscot Bay ME.

Simplicity is a cold-molded daysailer, designed by Joel White in Brooklin, Maine, and built by Zimmerman Marine on Mobjack Bay in Virginia. She has a counter stern. Her rig is non-standard with carbon fiber spars, an overlapping genoa, and a rigid vang.

This photograph was taken on Pensobscot Bay.

The boat

There is a parallel site about our larger boat. She is called Quicksilver.
