Other Formats of Talks @ CS

We have made a number of ways available for viewing Talks @ CS.

Subscribing to Talks @ CS in your Calendar program

You can have talks automatically appear in your calendar program in a number of ways, depending on the program. We currently support iCal on OS X and on Linux (two distinct programs with the same name).

If you use this feature, you can enable "remind me" buttons to show up next to each future talk by selecting the option in the preferences. Then the calendar program will bring up a reminder message 10 minutes before any talk you asked to be reminded about.

If using iCal on OS X

Select "Subscribe" under the "Calendar" menu and put in the URL:
      http://www.cs.cornell.edu/w8/~talks/ical.php?user_id=1004493487

If using the Mozilla Calendar extension in FireFox

Select "Subscribe to Remote Calendar..." under the "Tools" menu, make up a name (e.g. Talks@CS) and put in the following URL under "Location":
      http://www.cs.cornell.edu/w8/~talks/ical.php?user_id=1004493487

    If using ical on Linux

You can download a calendar file that you can then merge with your .calendar file to include talks. The calendar file is downloaded from the following URL:

      http://www.cs.cornell.edu/w8/~talks/ical_linux.php?user_id=1004493487

    If using Outlook or Exchange

If you know how to write an Outlook / Exchange compatible calendar file from php, and would be willing to do this, please let one of us know.
