About Talks @ CS Talk parser is currently maintained by Joyce Chen, Gabriel Bender, and Dustin Tseng. It was originally written by Filip Radlinski and Nate Nytstrom. About the Parser Emails received by talks@cs are automatically parsed to identify talk announcements and extract the details. The parser is far from perfect. Emails that explicitly name the different fields of the announcement are more easily parsed. For example, the following message format should always be parsed correctly: Title: <title> Speaker: <speaker>, <affiliation> Time: <date>, <time> Location: <location> Abstract: ... Talks@cs is a parsed email list where CS community members can post information about various talks in the department that is then displayed on the web site and display monitor in the Atrium on the 4th floor of Upson Hall. If you have talks that you would like listed, please send the announcements directly to talks@cs.cornell.edu or add talks@cs.cornell.edu to your seminar mailing list. If your announcement fails to show in either place, please contact one of us. Please note that if you send a new email for the same talk, the old record will be updated from the new email (assuming the time and location are the same). |
