The Association of Computer Science
Undergraduates (ACSU)
The ACSU aims to enhance the undergraduate experience in computer science at
Cornell by promoting professional, social, and educational interaction among
students interested in computers or computer science. The A.C.S.U. is a local
chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery.
I.E.E.E. Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers serves the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering by promoting interaction between Cornell ECE students and faculty. The Digital Gaming Alliance was designed to organize and build upon the burgeoning field of digital gaming under the direction of the Game Design Initiative at Cornell University.
Computer Science faculty, staff, and students are committed to a broad range of efforts to welcome more women into the field and encourage women to pursue career objectives related to their computing interests. Women Across Computing at Cornell is an initiative designed to promote the participation of women as students, teachers, mentors and researchers across computing fields and across fields engaging computational methods and tools, and to support the retention of women in these fields. The Cornell Student Section of the Society of Women Engineers promotes women in Engineering by advocating the importance of diversity and by uniting resources to encourage academic, leadership, professional, and personal excellence for the entire Engineering community of Today and Tomorrow.
